Blu has been in a wonderful home for the past 5 years but their lifestyle is changing and they aren't able to provide her with the attention she deserves. She is still very active and outgoing.
This was written by her original person 5 years ago: Hi my name is Blu Belle. I am a bluetick hound who is spayed and have all my shots. I will be three years old this coming March. My owner is working for the railroad out of state and isnt home to play with me anymore. I can sit and stay on command. I can go and stop on a whistle command in the field. I am very gentle and have a very gentle mouth, I take treats from my owners hand very gently. I love to go with my owner while he takes me for a bicycle ride. I stay on his left side on a three foot leash. Unless I see a rabbit,I just run along the left side of my owner and his bicycle. I am tall and lean, like most hounds. I do like to chase cats, when they go up in a tree I bay until my owner comes to investigate, thats just how I'm wired.
I would love to have a home with someone who likes to take me for walks, runs or bicycle rides. I probably would not be distracted if Ifound a home with no bunnies or cats. I dont eat them or hurt them, i just like to chase them,I am very gentle. I do like to play with other dogs also. I am house trained, and go into my crate every night at 9:00 pm and I go to sleep.
Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes. All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes.
