We recently got a call to help save a group of dogs that were in a hoarding situation. We took puppies and adults, all in various stages of socialization (or lack of) and all severely neglected in terms of grooming and general care. We are providing the grooming, health care, sterilization and most of TLC for these dogs in hopes of finding all of them wonderful homes of their own.
Bunny is one of the youngest. We believe she is a Malti-poo and is timid, but loving. Sadly we had to shave most of her long coat due to burrs.
Bunny was adopted for a few weeks. We spent a lot of tie with the family explaining her background and that it could be several months before she is comforable in their home. Everyone agreed they were ready for the challenge-- but 3 weeks later they changed their minds. SO- if you are interested in Bunny you better be ready for a long term commitment. We promise the payoff at the end is HUGE!
Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes.
All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes.
