Iris holds the record for the most number of bad placements ever! We found her in a local shelter, got her cleaned up ( and what a beauty she is!) and she has been placed 3 times- unsuccessfully! NONE of these have been her fault.
Adopter #1: Had a job change that required her to work 12 hour night shifts- no time to spend with Iris
Adopter #2: Just 2 weeks after taking her home learned that she has a physical condition that prevents her from being able to walk and/or exercise Iris
Adopter #3 takes the cake however: Drove 4 hours to adopt her and 24 hours later decided that she is "too energetic" for her!! Wow- she's a 15 month old puppy!!
So- yes she is gorgeous and everyone wants a dog that looks like Iris- but if you can't make the LONG TERM commitment to love her, train her and make her a member of your family- do not apply!!!!
And please don't be offended when we ask lots of questions to make sure that you are the perfect fit for her.
Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes.
All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes.
